Privacy, in plain language

PearDay Patterns uses the information needed to operate the catalogue, deliver licensed patterns and support buyers. We count public page openings, entrances, campaign link openings and free PDF downloads without browser identifiers; optional session analytics and Microsoft Clarity require permission. Paddle separately handles checkout and payment data as Merchant of Record.

PearDay Patterns’ responsibility

PearDay Patterns is the publisher and controller of the store, product-delivery, support and optional analytics data described here. Privacy requests can be sent to support@peardaypatterns.com.

Information collected

For a completed order, PearDay Patterns keeps the buyer email and the order details needed for delivery, support and dispute handling. If Paddle provides them, the buyer name and country are also attached to the order. Records may include the purchased products, amount, currency, Paddle transaction identifier, checkout comment and source attribution. Payment-card details stay with Paddle and its payment providers; PearDay Patterns does not receive them.

Storage on your device

  • Cart contents, the light or dark display preference and the privacy choice are stored in this browser so the site can remember them.
  • After you open an emailed My Purchases link, an essential secure cookie keeps that browser signed in for up to 30 days.
  • If you allow analytics, a random browser identifier and a 30-minute store session are stored in this browser. The browser identifier lets us distinguish repeat visits; it is cleared when you withdraw permission. Microsoft Clarity may also use analytics cookies to associate page views in a recording. Neither is used by PearDay Patterns for advertising.

You can change the analytics choice at any time using “Privacy choices” in the footer. Withdrawing permission clears the store analytics identifiers and asks Clarity to remove its cookies. Essential-only mode does not prevent shopping or purchased-file access.

First-party analytics

For public shop pages, we count page openings and entrances independently of your analytics choice. Each opening uses a new random event identifier held only in page memory to prevent counting a retry twice. This counter stores no browser identifier, IP address, referring site, page history or campaign tags, and uses no cookies or persistent browser storage. Repeat page openings count again; these totals do not identify unique people. Requests classified as Serbian traffic and identifiable bots are excluded.

With consent, the site records a random session identifier, landing page, referring site, campaign tags, approximate country and product actions. Daily totals compare visits, orders, sources and product performance. Consented browser identifiers separately count unique and returning browsers across a selected period, rather than adding daily unique totals. The data is not used to build an advertising profile.

When a tagged public link is opened from Pinterest, Reddit, one of our patterns or another source, we increase a daily aggregate counter for its public source, campaign, placement or content label and landing path. This counter uses no cookies or browser storage and stores no visitor identifier, IP address, referring site or full query string. Labels describe public campaigns, not individual recipients. Repeat openings count again; this counter does not identify people or connect their openings to purchases. Known bots, previews and internal navigation are excluded. Serbian traffic is excluded except for PDF link openings. Hosting security may temporarily use request metadata for admission and abuse protection as described below.

Free PDF download requests have a separate daily total, including repeat downloads, without cookies, browser storage or visitor identifiers. A file request is not proof that the file was saved on a device.

Microsoft Clarity

Only if you allow analytics, Microsoft Clarity helps us see how visitors use the public catalogue and cart. It may record page interactions such as clicks, scrolling, navigation and diagnostic errors, and create session replays and heatmaps. We send limited events for product views, cart additions and checkout starts. We do not run Clarity on Admin, order-confirmation, download or My Purchases pages. We request analytics storage and deny advertising storage. Microsoft may process these analytics data outside your country, including in the United States. See Microsoft Clarity’s privacy information.

Why information is used

  • To deliver purchased files and keep an order record.
  • To provide secure purchase access and buyer support.
  • To meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations.
  • To handle disputes, protect the site and prevent abuse.
  • With consent, to understand catalogue and marketing performance.

Legal bases

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, PearDay Patterns relies on the following bases as appropriate to the activity and applicable law:

  • Performance of the Supplier Agreement, or steps connected with the transaction, to provide purchased files, order records and secure purchase access.
  • Performance of the service and, where appropriate, legitimate interests to respond to support requests.
  • Legitimate interests to protect the service, prevent fraud and abuse, handle disputes and maintain service integrity.
  • Compliance with legal obligations for records that must be retained.
  • Consent for optional store analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

No sale of personal data

PearDay Patterns does not sell, rent or trade personal data, share it with advertising partners, or use third-party advertising pixels. Information is shared only when needed for payment, site operation, file or email delivery, support, or a legal obligation.

Paddle’s separate role

Paddle acts as authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. It independently processes checkout and payment data for payment, tax, receipts, fraud prevention, chargebacks and refunds under Paddle’s Privacy Notice. PearDay Patterns receives only the order and buyer information described above, never payment-card details.

Service providers

Hosting and security providers help operate and protect the site and store its data and files; they may process limited request metadata such as an IP address where needed to provide the service. A transactional email provider processes recipient email addresses and message content to send order and access emails. With your analytics permission, Microsoft provides Clarity session analytics as described above. PearDay Patterns does not use these providers for advertising.

Retention and security

One-time access links expire after 15 minutes and purchase sessions after 30 days. Temporary access records and expired download tokens are routinely removed. Order records are retained only as needed for support, disputes, fraud prevention and applicable tax or accounting duties. Private pattern files have no permanent public URL.

Your rights

Where applicable, you may ask PearDay Patterns for a copy of your PearDay Patterns data, ask for inaccurate data to be corrected, request deletion of data that is no longer needed, restrict or object to certain processing, or request portable data. Send the request to the support email above. PearDay Patterns may need to verify the buyer email or order and may keep records required by law or needed for an active dispute. Analytics consent can be withdrawn at any time. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
